We've spent decades building relationships with people who compete at the highest level. Friends from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and even the PGA Tour. It's a community that keeps growing and now includes college golf teams, NCAA athletes, high schoolers, broadcasters, and passionate golfers across the USA and the whole world.
These aren't endorsement deals. They're friendships built over rounds of golf, honest conversations, and a shared belief that the details matter. Several have backed their conviction with commitment, becoming investors in the business.
An early conversation with Jordan Poyer on the 12th hole of his charity golf tournament sparked the inspiration for our first golf shoe — The Beta. It was his observation that "golf people" were "our people," and that Alma Mater should make a really good golf shoe.
After two years of building prototypes and obsessing over every possible detail, we finally felt The Beta was ready. This is the Alma Mater community.
